Baktaash Sorkhabi is a Director who leads the City Fabrick Graphic design and Communications teams on a wide variety of projects through all aspects of research, design, production, coordination, and implementation to ensure our work effectively and consistently engages our stakeholders and the broader community. With over a decade of both public and private sector experience, Baktaash believes in the power of design in creating greener, more accessible, and more inclusive neighborhoods and the impact of communications can have to inspire communities and galvanize stakeholders towards a shared vision. Baktaash was named a Top 40 under 40 by the Long Beach Post, a distinction for individuals under 40 making positive impacts in Long Beach. He is also the founder of Longbeachize, an award-winning community organization and news website involved in a wide range of issues including transportation, land use governance, planning, open space, sustainability and well-being. When he is not pushing pixels around in Photoshop, Baktaash can be found traveling to new cities, taking his dog on bike rides, or obsessively talking about cult dynamics on his personal podcast.
