City Fabrick hosts gatherings of design and planning professionals, community stakeholders, advocates, and government officials in a variety of formats to discuss city building.

Concourse provides an informal space [con·course \ˈkän-ˌkȯrs, ˈkäŋ-\ : an act or process of coming together and merging.] for participants to share examples of how cities can make them more inclusive, healthy, and vibrant environments. Each event is based on a specific topic, ranging from architecture to street design to public art, which is reinforced by a collaborative slideshow of similarly themed photos. The sibling program Context+Discourse education program provides a forum for presenting a variety of urban planning, policy and design topics through informal salons, panel discussions, film screenings and tours. The curriculum of these interactive events is developed to provide a context for formulating policy, programs and projects in the city. These publicly accessible, free-entry forums engage, educate and empower a broad portion of the populace, creating a more equitable landscape for decision-making. Topics have included healthy communities, urban infrastructure, park development for compact cities, housing and design, and walkable communities.
